Eco-Watch has tied up with this unique Poetry lab to expose students to different aspects of environment in today’s world. Nearly 5000 students from different Schools were benefited through her poems, performance and presentations. Live demonstrations & presentations on wildlife conservation were the highlights of her programme.
Environment and Media Workshop, April 22nd 2002:
‘Earth Day’ was celebrated by way of conducting a workshop on “Environment & Media”. Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media, Eco-Watch and the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board jointly conducted the programme. Resource Persons like Prof. Madhav Gadgil (Centre for Ecological Sciences, I.I.Sc), Prof. D.K. Subramaniam (Indian Institute of Sciences), Dr. Raghu Mohan (Soil Scientist), Sri Upendra Tripathy (Chairman, KSPCB), and others participated in the programme. Interactions and discussions were part of the programme, where in students, volunteers, journalists, public and others got an opportunity to interact with resource persons and experts.
